The Big Announcement

I know, it's a day late, but I think you'll enjoy this. Many of the beers I review on here fall under craft brews and micro brews. They are seasonal beers and limited releases. This tends to mean that I am giving out a lot of 3s for my reviews. I haven't reviewed the Buds, the Millers or the Coors, because frankly I like trying new things, until NOW. Starting this weekend going over the next few weeks I will be hosting a Sweet 16 tournament of the major beers. I will blind taste test them, winners will advance, losers will feel shame and a champion will be crowned. Results will be posted either Sunday or Monday and you can see them HERE. As you can see the brackets are broken up between regular beers and light beers and all sorts of beers are represented. At the end of this I will really figure out which light beer I like better and we 'll see if I truly am a Busch Light guy at heart. By the way in the first round I reserve the right to replace beers that are not available close to my house. I am talking about you Milwaukee's Best Light!!

Fun!

Re: Milwuakee's Best Light. When I was in Nicaragua, three Peace Corps friends and I were taking a bus to the beach ("toughest job you'll ever love" and all that) and it stopped at a gas station. I went in to buy four cans of beers for us to drink on the ride, because it's okay to drink beer on the bus in Central America. And the #1 in Boston. Underneath the mound of Victorias and Toñas in the ice chest lurked a sole can of Milwuakee's Best Light. So I bought three Toñas and the Milwuakee's Best and handed them out to my friends. I have no idea how The Beast came to such a location, but it was awesome.

What kind of shady, nefarious group came up with these seedings? Pabst is a no. 4 while Busch is a no. 2?

Are the seedings based on RPI? Strength of schedule? Or whichever beer company has enough free beer to persuade the Beer Crusader...

Micah - the seedings are the seedings. I am sorry to say that the PBR was in a harder conference and only deserved a 4 seeding. If you are so concerned about it, pick the upset in your office pool. Thanks for reading.

Narragansett is this tourney's Davidson. That would make Quint from 'Jaws' this tourney's Stephen Curry.
